Pittsburgh is the second biggest city of Pennsylvania and the 22nd biggest metro area in the United States. Residents are fondly called Pittsburghers. Whilst the city is known for bridges of all kinds, it has been referred to as "The Bridge Capital" or "The City of Bridges". Since steel and iron industries once occupied Pittsburgh, its other nickname is "The Steel City."

But, the steel and iron-clad city is gone, Pittsburgh now boasts of social modernity compounded with the conventions of historic buildings. It was even tagged as "America's Most Livable City" in 2007 and "America's Best City for Relocating Families" in 2008.

But why should a vacationer spend his time in a Pittsburgh vacation?

Art for Art's Sake
Carnegie Museums are composed of the Carnegie Museum of Art and the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. The Carnegie Museum of Art is a gallery of painting and architectural exhibits. Paintings range from the impressionism, to post impressionism, and to modernism. The Carnegie Museum of Natural History is a place for artifacts on prehistory and geographical information.

Frick Art & Historical Center displays Italian, to French, and to Italian paintings of artist Henry Clay Frick. Aside from his paintings, it also collects Frick's automobiles like the 1914 Rolls Royce model and his restored Frick Mansion.

Andy Warhol Museum is an art place for Warhol's pop art and movies. It also collects old and significant cans of Campbell's soup, portraits of famous celebrities, and hosts quirky performances and show screenings.

Eat Out
Pittsburgh vacation brags of eating districts such as the South Side, The Strip District, Downtown District, and Mount Washington.

I can say that a Pittsburgh vacation is not your regular vacation itinerary. Although the city has its normal share of museums, parks, wildlife, restaurants, shopping sections, and both indoor and outdoor activities, the neighborhood and building constructions of the city are already a vacation treat for everyone. Where else can you see a blend of the century-long building designs standing on the crossroads of conventionality and modern lifestyle? It is definitely just in a Pittsburgh vacation.

Unseen Los Angeles

Far from the perceived glitz and glamour of Hollywood, LA has so much else to offer.

There's so much more than Rodeo Drive and the Sunset Strip to this vast city. Among these is the burgeoning art scene in Chinatown. Here, each Friday small clubs operate slightly under-the radar, serving drinks to a young, hip crowd that can't be bothered to make it to the Westside. As the eastside has gotten cooler, the art scene has re-centered itself, allowing a distinct and legitimate encampment on Chinatown's Chungking Road. Gallery openings are roughly every two weeks and offer the opportunity for public drinking - something you might expect at an art gallery, though not necessarily in LA. Check the web for exact dates, but they are usually Thursdays or Saturdays during the summer.

Another fun thing to do in Los Angeles that is easy to miss is hiking. You can hike through lovely wildlife but see a view of a vast urban space at the top. A wonderful view of the city is available from Griffith Park, and the pay off is much higher if you simply park in the neighboring Los Feliz hills and climb to a peak, avoiding the delays, bother and polluting of following the line of cars to park at the observatory. Other fun hikes include Will Rogers State Park in Pacific Palisades, Runyon Canyon in the Hollywood Hills and Fryman Canyon in Studio City. For more intriguing culinary fare, Los Angeles offers distinct ethnic food at quite low prices in less touristy areas. The Thai cuisine in East Hollywood is legendary, and competes for space only with the Middle Eastern food, centered there and in Westwood, which includes some of the best and most authentic Persian food in the world. Westwood is also home to excellent Lebanese food. Los Angeles' Mexican food does not need to be spoken for, but for family type restaurants, mainly in the tradition of the Jalisco region, try East Los Angeles proper. There are many informal eateries throughout the city, but perhaps the best Mexican food can be found in Allegria, on Sunset Blvd. in the Silverlake region. The line is formidable, but well worth it.

The final aspect of less-seen Los Angeles is the beach. For the best beach one must venture where others are effectively dissuaded from going, the final frontier: Malibu. Though residents are hostile to tourists, California law guarantees public access to the 27 miles of beautiful coastline that are part of this wealthy and insular city. Signs saying "coastal access" highlight spots of entrance, which may look like nothing, but, after descending many stairs, you will generally come upon a beautiful and nearly abandoned beach. To find these beaches, simply drive up the coast highway past the Cross Creek mall, where you can stop for a coffee and likely see a celebrity, but persevere until it seems you must be part way to San Francisco. Until the signs say "Entering Camarillo," you are still in Malibu and near discovering some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

If the sun's shining, you will no doubt want to head straight to the beach with the children.

You will be spoilt for choice by the number of beaches in this county. In fact, Cornwall boasts 697km of coastline and has numerous beaches to choose from - whether you want to do spot of surfing or simply to sunbathe.

Newquay has some lovely beaches, such as Fistral Beach, Towan Beach, Great Western Beach and Tolcarne Beach, among others. Bude's beaches (Summerleaze, Crooklets etc) are also worth checking out. There are so many other beaches along Cornwall's lengthy coastline, some of which you will no doubt want to explore during your holiday.

Fly Fishing in Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park carries a vision of large trout unusable stone flies and mayflies, clean water and unlimited insights. What I like fishing in Yellowstone, it is difficult to simply on fishing with all the beautiful landscape and wildlife at your fingertips.

However, in the Yellowstone River for each full-fledged fly fishermen. This is a big, fast river, has many Yellowstone killer. This water-loving creatures are so hard to catch, but given the size and scope of this body of water and migration of fish are feeding times in the exact spot. You can also participate in a site one day and totally stress on the other, even if you're on the same site.

Yellowstone cutthroat and is an excellent fish with his location, not to mention his yellow and orange slashes on the Gill-boards. Will be early May 16 "to 18" in the park, and maybe even more.

Unfortunately, they are powerless against the illegal dumping of lake trout to Yellowstone. Trout get much bigger killer and prey. If you catch a trout, you will be prompted to keep or punctures the bubble, but only so that they sink into the lake.

No boats are allowed in Yellowstone River, and everyone is hunting Seine fishing. You can use the float tube or boat on Yellowstone Lake.

The Lamar River is a good place, but storms from May blow off fishing for a few days. There are several good tributaries that flow into the Lamar, a good bet. Slough Creek and Soda Butte are both good bets. Although always pay attention to bears. Do not close the bear, or between a female and her young. They were all wild animals a wide berth. Most creatures have a comfort zone, and if you do not have passports those areas, then are by no means threaten you.
The Madison River is a popular fly a few fishermen. Only in the west entrance is a series of well-known pools, which often good fish. Perhaps more brook trout may be caught, but the Rainbows are swimming too. In the autumn, some big trout jet into the river from Hebgen Lake, and you may even be surprised by some real trophies.

FireHOL on the River offers a good climate for fish, but because of hot springs, which flows through the river, the temperature is too hot in summer.

Gibbon some small streams, such as mesh, but in wet weather, some of them may be closed in order to avoid invoking the fish.

A portion of the Gallatin is in the interior park and offers very good fishing at the time. Water is not deep, that what may lead to a number of catches, because it is difficult to fish in shallow waters, but the reward is certainly worthwhile.

There are many lakes and streams, good fishing, but you have to check with the local fly shop or the park service to update all the information.

Motor Home Desert Adventure in Tucson Mountain Park

Imagine - You are standing in the middle of the desert. The land is all saguaro cactus and shrubs. Rocks and hills rise all around you, some of the rock outcrops reaching well above your head. And, in the distance, you can see the valleys stretch to the horizon, where mountains grey shaded stand, or a plan against smoke cloudless sky.

This is the view from the heart of Tucson Mountain Park. Located just west of Tucson, Arizona, it enjoys an amazing 20000 hectares of sonoran desert, full of desert, mountains and majestic saguaro forests. Saguaro of Forest Park is considered the best in the world, and watching the sun set from his foot is awe-inspiring.

Before getting to the heart of the park, you have to walk a little ways. Many visitors are surprised to discover the walk in the park is one of the best elements. The trail will lead you through Gates, where it winds and bends, offers the best scenery that you may see in the entire state of Arizona.

Not ready for hiking, or if you want to enjoy the scenery of the automobile luxury of your home, do not worry. There is a scenic route that takes you through Gates Pass and right along the edge of the park. Here you see all the scenery stunning, and you can also stop at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, which is full of unique pieces saguaro in the desert climate. There are also a number of short walks, picnic areas and campgrounds.

For some real adventure in Tucson Mountain Park, bring your mountain bike. The region is known throughout the country for its spectacular over 30 mountain bike trails, varying in length and difficulty. Some parts of the park are flat and sandy, while the others are steep hills and vegetation.

The good news is that Tucson is filled close to a large motor home sites friends. Because it is one of the number one motor-home destinations in the country, you will find plenty of places to stay. Here are some sites to check.

• Voyager RV Resort - This is a big, friendly RV camping with more than 1500 seats. They have swimming pools and many other families to enjoy pleasure when you stay, and prices vary from $ 25 to $ 40, with long-term residence discounts available.
• Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - This campground with 250 commercial RV turnouts, did its best to live up to its name. They have a number of fun activities, and are a bit off the beaten path.

All You Need to Know About Travel Humidors

When humidors where first created by Zino Davidoff in the early 20th century, they were large cellar humidors which certainly made for restricted travel. One now had the ability to strive for the perfect cigar, but only from home. Most people would agree that the feasibility of traveling with a large room did not exist, and still does not, even today. A dilemma arose as to how to preserve a moist cigar while traveling.

Early models of travel humidors were patterned after air-tight cases in which the cigar aficionado placed cigars already maintained in a cellar humidor. This worked well except that when one opened the travel humidor, since the maintained humidity existed as a result of already moist cigars, each time the humidor was opened, humidity would escape and the ambient humidity of the room replaced the humidity that had been inside the travel humidor.

Today humidors can be found that are battery-powered or can be plugged into any available AC outlet or a combination of both. While these types of humidors are more functional than ostentatious, they can be made of any materials in varying shapes and designs, suited to please the taste of even the most discriminating smoker.

Most travel humidors are made of extremely durable plastic, designed to withstand the rigors of being moved about and for its lightweight portability. Travel humidors now meant that a society that is becoming increasingly more mobile as a result of the prevalence of automobiles and air is no longer demanded to choose between having a perfect cigar and being tied to home or having to leave behind one’s favorite pastime to travel.

Travel humidors are also an inexpensive addition with many functional travel humidors costing less than $30. The internet is an excellent way to research the different styles and brands while also finding the least expensive style that will meet ones requirements.

Top Ten Travel Nursing “Hot Spots”

The great thing about being a traveling nurse boils down to one key component – it’s about the travel! For those of us who love moving around and seeing the world, travel nursing is the profession of our dreams. There are many travel destinations available, based on weather, activities, cost of living, and salary. Therefore, I have gathered a list of my “Top Ten” destinations that nurses choose, based on the number of travelers who inquire about each location every month. Are you a travel RN scouting a new assignment? Then I’d like to suggest the following ten “Hot Spots”:

HAWAII – It’s no shock that Hawaii generates over 500 travel nursing inquiries per month. The wide range of outdoor activities from snow-capped mountains to snow-white sandy beaches elevates Hawaii to one of those meccas where you can build a snowman or a sand castle all in one day. Nurses tell me that you’ll discover virtually every type of outdoor activity imaginable—hiking trails that wind through erupting volcanoes, secret beaches, and lush green ranchlands. Many travelers also hunt, mountain bike, go rafting, and golf on some of the world’s most extravagant courses.

ALASKA – Travel nurses are intrigued by the possibilities of Alaska’s rugged mystery. Alaska is a huge wilderness with beautiful scenery, and travel nursing assignments offer plenty of time to see and do everything you want, whether in winter’s darkness under northern lights, or the glorious spring and summer where it’s light most of the time. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy Alaska for its’ wildlife, spectacular natural landscape, and fishing expeditions where the fish really are as big as the stories about which they’re told. If you’re an excitement junkie, you can scout out a wide selection of theme parks; and no matter what your taste in music, concerts abound in every type of venue. Historic sites and museums invite, as do five-star restaurants and clubs in which to see and be seen. The shopping is unparalleled, whether it’s trendy Melrose Place, La Jolla, or the strand in Venice Beach; and of course it’s home to Hollywood, and, yes, movie stars.
